STATE LINE COMMUNITY CENTER

STATE LINE MEDICAL CENTER

The State Line Medical Center, operated by the Mississippi Primary Health Care Association Inc., is a nonprofit, 501 (c)(6) membership organization that works to improve access to health care for the medically underserved and indigent populations of the Magnolia State. CHCs provide a wide variety of services including medical, dental, pharmacy, optical, social services, behavioral health, x-ray and laboratory, tobacco cessation, health and wellness, and transportation. CHCs have seen a significant increase in the number of patients seen from 150,000 in 1990 to approximately 315,000 in 2010. In 2010, Mississippi health center patients completed almost 1 million visits to their local CHC. The State Line Medical Center is located at 256 Main Street and can be reached by calling 601-848-7912. Operating hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  

STATE LINE FALL FESTIVAL

The community is home to the annual "State Line Fall Festival" every October, and the event is held on the former site of the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Railroad in the historic downtown area. Thousands take part in the event that features arts and crafts, food, children's activities and various displays of craftsmanship. STATE LINE PUBLIC LIBRARY

The community enjoys having a public library facility at 8 Farrar Street, and it is part of the Pine Forest Regional Library System that serves four Southeast Mississippi counties. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Mondays and from noon to 6 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For information, call 601-848-7011.

   

STATE LINE CHRISTMAS PARADE

The community celebrates the Christmas season with a parade that begins and ends at the State Line Fire Department.
